I love this review of the book of Jasher and agree totally. I am reading the bible only for two years now I doubted if I should read this book (what I did) because when I talked about it with other Christians they felt uncomfortable and advised me not to read it.
Something in the book that amazed me was that when Abram was 10 years old he went to live with Noah and Shem for 39 years. I made a timeline and found out that it was well possible that Noah and Shem still lived.
When Abram was 49 years he went back to his father Terah. He preached for one year against the idols his father and others worshipped. Than it came king Nimrod to ear that Abram still lived (Nimrod thought he had killed Abram as a baby). By that time Abram was 50 years old and there comes the saying from ‘seen Abram’ when you becone 50 years old.

After I became a disciple of Jesus in 2019 I had a total different view on the Harry Potter films and books.
That I read in the past abd watched with my children.
Demons are persons without a body as Derek Prince says. In the Harry Potter film The philosopher’s stone they actually show us how Voldemort (a demon) possesses a person (a teacher in the school).

Until one has expressed the awesome supernatural in filling of the Holy Spirit with evidence of tongues as I have , you will never understand . And that is a shame to the utmost extent. You can’t be taught it , it comes from God

Thank you for your words about the Melchizedek Priesthood. I left the Mormon church (which I came to realize was false) and had a question of how could they assume the priesthood. I was originally baptized as a Baptist and after leaving the Mormons and years of study I made a profession of faith in the Catholic church. The Mormons, because I asked to be excommunicated from them, told me that I would no longer have the Holy Spirit. They were wrong. Though I made many mistakes I never denied my love of Jesus. I have ways had a decent understanding of speaking in tongues, but when I read the article , ” The History of Gibberish Speaking in American Churches” it answered many questions. I wanted to know precisely where tongues came from. Who were the names of the people who were responsible for bringing tongues to the American Churches. It finally made sense to me because I could put my fingure on an exact time, place and people who were responsible for the beginning this practice in American. I understood what happened at the tower of babble, but it still didn’t answer the origin of these cults. All things have a beginning except for God. So thank you for your love for God’s word. Thank you for your kind words!! Personally, I have known so many people involved in the gibberish speaking movement for years in the area in which I live and minister. I had learned years ago through studying a book by James Bales about the connections between gibberish speaking and demonic influence which has only been corroborated more and more over the years. One of the most disturbing experiences I have encountered which further confirms this is when a Satanist in our local jail ministry one day prayed in “tongues” (gibberish) over me, just like in a charismatic church. When I asked him what he was doing, he said he was calling his demons to kill me because he was tired of hearing the name Jesus.
It is troubling that what is so readily accepted in charismatic churches today and incorrectly called the Bible gift of “tongues” was practiced in the first century (and to this day) in demonically influenced pagan temples.

While this is an interesting thesis, Augustine turned his back on Manichaenism when he became a Christian. Is the argument that he was still drawing on those doctrines after his conversion? Does this mean that Christianity today has a Platonist foundation?
Also, I agree that the doctrine of predestination is flimsy, but there is plenty of scriptural evidence for total depravity.
Lastly, what are we to make of preachers like Jonathan Edwards, were they heretics because they believed in predestination?

1. There is considerable evidence that Augustine continued to adopt his Gnostic interpretations of Scripture after his conversion to Catholicism.
2. Christianity does not have a Platonist foundation; but Calvinism does. (Not everything that calls itself “Christian” actually is).
3. The doctrine of individual predestination is flimsily, I agree. But the salvation of the New Testament is usually that of corporate predestination.
4. There is no evidence in the Bible for total hereditary depravity, merely Scriptures taken out of context. I’ll share some more thoughts on that soon.
4. As for those who are Calvinist preachers, I try to remember the good example of Apollos in Acts 18:24-28.
5. Calvinism is a heresy, a dangerous one. It not only reflects badly on the people of God and turn people from the Word, but it reflects terribly on the Nature of God as revealed in Nature and in Scripture.

Take the Bible literally and use your God given senses to belp see and then expose the globe lie. Earth is level, geocentric and contained as stated in over 200 verses. Natural sciences show no measurable curvature and nasa translates to “deceive” in Hebrew. May God bless you with eyes to see the beauty of his creation that is being distorted with scientism 🙏
