Psalm 14:1-7-To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart,”There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on the LORD? 5 There they are in great fear, For God is with the generation of the righteous. 6 You shame the counsel of the poor, But the LORD is his refuge. 7 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! The horrible devastation and suffering that Adolf Hitler brought to the world was fueled by his belief in, and adherence to, the theory of macroevolution popularized by Charles Darwin. According to this theory, all forms of life in the world are the result of progressive beneficial changes from lower species of life which have progressed (or evolved) vast eons of time.
Of course, numerous evidences document that the theory of macroevolution is false. This is one reason why so many scientists have been willing to go on record and speak out against such.
For example:
Sir Fredrick Hoyle vividly illustrates the probability of spontaneous generation like this: Supposing the first cell originated by chance is like believing a tornado could sweep through a junkyard filled with airplane parts and form a Boeing 747.24 Professor Harold Morowitz puts the chance of spontaneous generation as being much less than even that of Sir Fredrick Hoyle: The probability for the chance of formation of the smallest, simplest form of living organism known is 1 to 10340,000,000. This number is 1 to 10 to the 340 millionth power! The size of this figure is truly staggering, since there are only supposed to be approximately 1080 electrons in the whole universe! 25 To further illustrate, this is approximately the same ridiculous probability that an entire high school gym filled with dice could instantly explode and every one of the dice would land on the number one! As a result of this belief, it is alleged that entire ethnic groups of human beings emerged from “inferior” races. Hitler’s belief was that the Aryan nation that he sought to perfect was the apex of evolution, and that other ethnic groups should be kept from reproducing with Germans and should be exterminated.
Jerry Bergman shares some of Hitler’s “reasoning” along these lines.
Hitler’s proof for the harm resulting from mingling Aryans with “less evolved,” thus inferior, races was his claim that by far the largest part of the North American population consisted of Germanic races “who mixed but little with the lower colored peoples,” and, as a result, manifested a “different humanity and culture from Central and South America, where the predominantly Latin immigrants often mixed with the aborigines on a large scale.” Hitler believed this observation documented the adverse effect of racial mixture. Furthermore Hitler claimed that the Germanic inhabitant of the American continent, who has remained racially pure and unmixed, rose to be master of the continent; he will remain the master as long as he does not fall a victim to defilement of the blood. The result of all racial crossing is therefore in brief always the following: (a) Lowering of the level of the higher race; (b) Physical and intellectual regression and hence the beginning of a slowly but surely progressing sickness. 14 Hitler also used evolution to justify war by arguing that the natural law, by which he meant natural selection, teaches us with every look into its working, into its events, that the principle of selection dominates it, that the stronger remains victor and the weaker succumbs. It teaches us, that what often appears to someone as cruelty, because he himself is affected or because through his education he has turned away from the laws of nature, is in reality necessary in order to bring about a higher evolution of living organisms. 15 Hitler also wrote about the dangers of the “higher” more evolved races breeding with the “lower” races in a now infamous account: With satanic joy in his face, the black-haired Jewish youth lurks in wait for the unsuspecting girl who he defiles with his blood, thus stealing her from her people. With every means he tries to destroy the racial foundations of the people he has set out to subjugate. Just as he himself systematically ruins women and girls, he does not shrink back from pulling down the blood barriers for others, even on a large scale. It was and it is Jews who bring the Negroes into the Rhineland, always with the same secret thought and clear aim of ruining the hated white race by the necessarily resulting bastardization, throwing it down from its cultural and political height, and himself rising to be its master. For a racially pure people which is conscious of its blood can never be enslaved by the Jew. In this world he [the Jew] will forever be master over bastards and bastards alone. And so he tries systematically to lower the racial level by a continuous poisoning of individuals. 16 Hitler reasoned that a “higher race would always conquer a lower” race because this is what the law of evolution demands. 17 In the 1933 Nuremberg party rally, Hitler explained that a higher race should rule a lower race because this is a “right which we see in nature and which can be regarded as the sole conceivable right” because it was founded on the scientific fact of evolution. 18 Evolution is clearly expressed in Hitler’s analogy that human evolutionary progress is similar to climbing a ladder, noting that it is impossible to climb higher without first taking the lower steps. Thus, the Aryan had to take the road to which reality directed him and not the one that would appeal to the imagination of a modern pacifist. The road of reality is hard and difficult, but in the end it leads where our friend [the pacifist] would like to bring humanity by dreaming, but unfortunately removes [humanity] more [away from the dream] than bringing it closer. 19. When truth is replaced with lies, and science is rejected in favor of science-fiction, then the consequence is always detrimental. One Holocaust survivor, a neurologist and psychiatrist named Viktor Frankl, wrote about this powerfully.
If we present a man with a concept of man which is not true, we may well corrupt him. When we present man as an automaton of reflexes, as a mind-machine, as a bundle of instincts, as a pawn of drives and reactions, as a mere product of instinct, heredity, and environment, we feed the nihilism to which modern man is, in any case, prone. I became acquainted with the last stage of that corruption in my second concentration camp, Auschwitz. The gas chambers of Auschwitz were the ultimate consequence of the theory that man is nothing but the product of heredity and environment—or, as the Nazi liked to say, of “Blood and Soil.” I am absolutely convinced that the gas chambers of Auschwitz, Treblinka, and Maidanek were ultimately prepared not in some Ministry or other in Berlin, but rather at the desks and in the lecture halls of nihilistic scientists and philosophers.
