Christian, Will You Be Offended By Our Government Locking Up Innocent Children In Cages Like They Are In A Zoo?

It is written:

Matthew 18:6-Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Again:

Matthew 25:31-46-“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32  All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33  And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34  Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35  for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36  I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37  “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ 41  “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42  for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43  I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ 44  “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45  Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46  And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Again:

Hebrews 10:32-34-But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33  partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34  for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.

In God’s Word, we see Him often portrayed as the One Who defends children and those who suffer for Him. Jesus makes it clear that we need to be willing to speak up for children and others who cannot speak up for themselves. He calls us to be the defenders of those who cannot defend themselves. In my years as a Gospel preacher, I have worked with many people who were victimized in numerous ways. As God calls me to, I have tried to speak up for them and help as able.

Today, there is a terrible injustice that is going on toward children, but which many are not speaking about. Perhaps they have not heard about it (I will remedy that shortly); perhaps they don’t believe it: or perhaps they simply do not care.

I arm speaking about the crimes in which police and ICE officers in our country have been rounding up and arresting children, at the direction of our President and others in power. Included in this are also some who have fled to America for refuge due to political and religious persecution. According to reliable sources, they are being locked in cages.

Here is an excerpt from an article that was released by the New York Times dated February 19, 2025.

“Nearly 100 migrants, recently deported by the United States to Panama where they had been locked in a hotel, were loaded onto buses Tuesday night and moved to a detention camp on the outskirts of the jungle, several of the migrants said. It is unclear how long the group, which was deported under the Trump administration’s sweeping effort to expel unauthorized migrants, will be detained at the jungle camp. Conditions at the site are primitive, the detainees said. Diseases, including dengue are endemic to the region, and the government has denied access to journalists and aid organizations. “It looks like a zoo, there are fenced cages,” said one deportee, Artemis Ghasemzadeh, a 27-year-old migrant from Iran, after arriving at the camp following a four-hour drive from Panama City. “They gave us a stale piece of bread. We are sitting on the floor….Some, including a group of Iranian Christians and a man from China, told The New York Times that they risk reprisals if returned to their native countries, and have refused to sign documents that would pave the way for their repatriation. Under Iranian law, converting from Islam is considered apostasy and is a crime punishable by death…The Panamanian government has previously said the migrants had no criminal records.” (By Julie TurkewitzFarnaz FassihiHamed Aleaziz and Annie Correal, “Migrants, Deported to Panama Under Trump Plan, Detained in Remote Jungle Camp,” https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/19/world/americas/us-migrants-panama-jungle-camp.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare)

Are we going to be offended for these children and others who are being locked up in cages? One of the witnesses that spoke with the times said these immigrants had been locked up in cages and it “looks like a zoo.”

Christians, let’s speak up against this evil.

It has been perpetrated by our government, and we need to speak up against it.

Someone may say, “President Biden and President Obama did this too!”

If so, let’s speak against that and them too!

Someone says, “But President Trump is doing so much good for our country!”

Are we really going to try and justify locking up children in cages because we want to believe that President Trump actually is doing “so much good” for our country? (How much good that President Trump is actually doing for our country is debatable).

Last year, President Trump was playing and circulating a video at his rallies called, “God Made Trump.” In that video, people are told that God needed a Caretaker for His planned Paradise (with a video of the Earth spinning in the background), so “God made Trump.” Later, we are told that God needed a shepherd for all mankind who would “never leave or forsake them…” so, “God made Trump.”

Friends, in the Word of God, Jesus is the One Who is the “Caretaker” for planet Earth (Matthew 28:18; Revelation 1:4-5), not Donald Trump. The Bible tells us that the One Who will never leave or forsake mankind, the true universal Shepherd, is Jesus Christ (cf. Revelation 1:11; 1 Peter 5:1-5), not Donald Trump. (For documentation, see my article here https://marktabata.com/2024/02/10/donald-trump-and-antichrist/)

Christians, please join me in speaking up for those immigrants, children, and persecuted disciples. Let’s pray for our President to repent and be truly saved (Acts 2:37-47; 1 Timothy 2:1-6).

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.
