It is written:
Job 26:7-He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.
Recently, I saw a Facebook post about how many scientists have been amazed to find in recent years that there is an entire section of space completely devoid of any stars or planetary bodies. Of course, what amazed me is that modern day science has finally “caught up” with what the Bible said in the oldest Book of the Bible!
Many years ago, George DeHoff wrote:
“Astronomers have discovered that there is a great empty space in the North. It contains no moving planets and shining stars. By turning their telescopes to the South, the East and the West, men may behold countless millions of stars invisible to the naked eye but when the telescope is set exactly to the North there is a great empty space. For this astronomers have been unable to account. They did not know until recently that there was such an empty space, yet Job declared, “He stretcheth out the North over the empty places and hangeth the earth upon nothing.” (Job 26: 7). Job could not have written by guess. It must be that he wrote by inspiration of God.” (George DeHoff, Why We Believe the Bible, 678-684 (Kindle Edition); McLoud, OK: Cobb Publishing)
The scientific foreknowledge of the Bible writers provides another clear evidence that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.
