It is written:
Mark 16:16-He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Some people are offended by Jesus’ teaching that baptism is part of the plan of salvation. As a result, they have tried every which way imaginable to try and undermine His teaching that baptism is part of the plan of redemption. Let’s consider some of these objections.
Sometimes people claim that the first part of Jesus’ statement here does not really mean that a person believe AND be baptized before they are saved. Instead, they claim that belief leads to salvation before baptism.
How do the major Bible translations understand the issue?
