It is written:
“He threw Pharaoh’s chariots and soldiers into the sea. Pharaoh’s very best soldiers drowned in the Red Sea.” (Exodus 15:4)
One of the greatest miracles in the Bible involved the crossing of the Israelites at the Red Sea.
Exodus 14:21-23-Moses raised his hand over the Red Sea, and the LORD caused a strong wind to blow from the east. The wind blew all night long. The sea split, and the wind made the ground dry. 22 The Israelites went through the sea on dry land. The water was like a wall on their right and on their left. 23 Then all of Pharaoh’s chariots and horse soldiers followed them into the sea.
When the Egyptians pursued the Hebrews, the Lord caused the waters to come back down and destroy the army of Pharaoh.
For years, skeptics of the Bible have mocked this account. However, the study of archaeology continues to prove true the account of Holy Scripture.
“Finally, the actual site of the Yam Suph crossing has been shown to have a number of marine archeological remains, from some sort of disaster. This disaster included a large number of animals, horses, human beings, chariots and wheels, which are lying on the seabed of the underwater bridge. Some skeletal parts are petrified, which implies that the event took place several thousand years ago….The finds are scattered over a wide area, from the west side (the coast of the Sinai Peninsula) to the east side (the coast of northwest Saudi Arabia) and imply a very extensive disaster. With a length of approximately 14 km and a width of approximately 5 km, the total area covers some 70 km2. Altogether, these finds give a picture of a disaster that probably occurred at the time of what the Bible calls the Exodus: the departure of the people of Israel followed by the destruction of the Egyptian army in Yam Suph. The Hebrews are now on the other side of Yam Suph and on the way to their first goal, Mount Horeb. Here await special events, to say the least. The Exodus now enters its second dramatic phase..”. The continuing discoveries of an Egyptian army, drowned in the Red Sea and dating back to the time of Moses, simply provides further evidence that the Bible is true.
