Eschatology Studies (24)

It is written:

Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2  “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, (Ezekiel 38:1-2)

The 38-39 chapters of the Book of Ezekiel contain many important lessons for us in the study of eschatology.

I often refer to this passage of Scripture as “the Magog War.” Written by the Prophet Ezekiel in the sixth century before Christ was born, this text highlights an attack upon the nation of “Israel” by a coalition of nations.

Several questions need to be investigated.

Has the Magog War already happened, or is still to come?

What exactly is Magog?

What nations are mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39?

Who is Gog, and is he mentioned anywhere else in the Scriptures?

Does the Magog War have anything to do with the Book of Revelation?

Are there any evidences that the Magog War involves Satan, fallen angels, and other wicked spirits?

Could America be referenced in the Magog War?

Let’s turn our attention to studying these important questions.
