One of the common statements that I hear from atheists and agnostics goes something like this:
“I do not believe in God because all real scientists know that God isn’t real.”
With such a sweeping statement, it is difficult not to laugh. You do see the irony of the statement, don’t you? By wording the statement in such a way, the atheist automatically discounts any person who might disagree with him from being a “real” scientist. Therefore, to such an irrational individual, evidence of God becomes impossible: for no “real” scientist can possibly believe in His existence.
What completely arrogant nonsense.
To the contrary, there are literally thousands of scientists in the world (and throughout time) who are quite convinced that the scientific evidence clearly shows that there is a God. One of my favorite books is written by a member of the church of Christ named Brad Harrub.
Harrub wrote a very fascinating book a number of years ago entitled, “Convicted: A Scientist Examines The Evidence For Christianity.” I would like to share some of his words with you from the “CONCLUSION” of that book:
“Anyone who evaluates the evidence with an unbiased eye is forced to admit that the only logical conclusion is that the human body—just like the Universe—demonstrates far too much complexity to have arisen by chance. It shows incredible design and purpose, and many scientists recognize it. During my scientific training, I had the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with many brilliant minds. I talked to neurosurgeons, physicists, anatomists, molecular biologists, etc.—and in almost every case, they would admit that what we were studying was far too complex to have arisen by purely evolutionary processes. However, as soon as another individual walked into the laboratory, the scientist would drop the conversation and always toe the evolutionary party line. After all, in many cases their positions were tethered to an allegiance of naturalism….I have been asked on many different occasions if spending so much time researching science has weakened my faith. On the contrary, it has strengthened my faith. My faith is firmly founded in evidence. I am convicted. The more layers I peel back the more I recognize the handiwork of God. Having reviewed material from every scientific field, I see a clear pattern. True science—science without the interpretations built on biases from ungodly men—points back toward the Creator. The scientific community is trained to collect data, report our findings, and then draw logical conclusions from our observations. The evidence for God is undeniable.” (Brad Harrub, Convicted: A Scientist Examines The Evidence For Christianity, 5175-5225 (Kindle Edition); Brentwood, TN: Focus Press)
Harrub’s testimony here could be multiplied many times over. Do not fall for the lies of atheism, my friends. There is a God in Heaven, and He has revealed Himself to mankind powerfully through His Creation.
As the Apostle Paul wrote:
Romans 1:18-20-18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
The only way to be saved through the righteous wrath of God is through His Son, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:19-21). Through His death, burial, and Resurrection on the third day, Jesus has made it possible for mankind to be saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). Why not today believe in Jesus (Acts 16:31)? Allow this belief to lead you to repentance and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 16:32-33; 22:16)?
If you are a child of God who has left your first love (Revelation 2:4-5), then why not today repent and come back to The Lord by seeking His forgiveness in prayer (Acts 8:22; Revelation 3:20)?
The grace of The Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
