Jude 1:22-23 (CEV)-Be helpful to all who may have doubts. 23 Rescue any who need to be saved, as you would rescue someone from a fire. Then with fear in your own hearts, have mercy on everyone who needs it. But hate even the clothes of those who have been made dirty by their filthy deeds.
Recently, a person on TikTok (I’ll assume a gentleman) made a video of me. The music background was very good (one friend told me it was probably AI generated), but I certainly wish he had chosen video clips that showed me having a better hair day (if such is possible). The gentleman was very angry in his video, depicting me as a cult leader and Christians as members of a mindless cult. I reached out to him and asked if we could have a dialogue on the issues that he promoted in his video. He was very candid that he hates Christianity and believes that Christians are a mindless cult who have rejected that which is rational for a religion of “fear” and “terror.” I explained that I am happy to place Christianity under a microscope if he would be willing to do the same with his worldview, and he agreed! So I suggested that we begin with the subject of the existence of God. Here is the gist of the conversation:
Mark: Is there a God?
RT: No there is not. Not the Christian God, not any god….
Mark: If I said that a man could jump from the Earth to the moon, would that be a rational or an irrational statement? If I said that a blindfolded baby could find a marked golfball in a billion sized universes filled with golfballs on his first attempt to locate it, would you say that I was being rational or irrational?
RT: Jumping to the moon is physically impossible without evidence…jumping to the moon or a baby finding a ball are clearly impossible.
Mark: I agree. If we received a message from deep in outer space that had the first volume of a set of encyclopedias, would that point to an intelligent being or random chance sending that?
RT: Yes, that would be evidence of intelligence because it’s an observable, testable event in the natural world.”
Mark: Thank you. So a volume of the encyclopedia being sent from outer space to mankind would be evidence of intelligence and not random chance. I agree completely. Now: the information in the human genome of one person contains the equivalent of fifty sized Grand Canyons filled with encyclopedias. So how is a single volume of an encyclopedia evidence of intelligent design, but fifty grand canyons filled with encyclopedias is supposed to be random chance?…The mathematical odds of a strand of human DNA evolving by chance over vast eons of time are the same odds as a man being able to jump from the Earth to the moon, and of a blindfolded baby finding a marked golfball from a billion sized universes filled with golfballs, and on his first attempt. What’s more, if you were to take the DNA in a single human body and unravel it, there would be enough information to fill the Grand Canyon nearly fifty times with encyclopedias! DNA therefore is one of many evidences pointing to the Designer of the universe…
RT: I have a life since I’m not in a cult.

This sadly depicts how many people view Christianity. They are so quick to say that they believe in science and being rational….but when the science and rational thinking show the absurdity of atheism and other false belief systems, they often blindly choose fiction over fact.
All while claiming Christians are the ones who are members of mindless cults!
These are some of the reasons why we maintain that Christianity is a religion that honors the law of rationality (which claims we should only accept those conclusions that are warranted by the evidence).
Acts 26:25 (TPT)-Paul replied, “No, Your Excellency Festus, I am not crazy. I speak the words of truth and reason.
As for the DNA evidence and how it points to the existence of God:
“DNA — containing the code for this first living cell — is very complex and does not naturally occur. In fact, the chance of you being able to jump high enough to reach the moon is greater than the chance that DNA would form by chance…. Take 1070 combinations: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 minus 100,000,000, 000,000,000 seconds that a single DNA molecule could be formed by mere chance, and the remaining “odds” are 1 in 9,999,999,999,999,999,999,999, 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,900,000,000,000,000,000. This means that the odds of a single functional DNA molecule coming together at random are about the same odds that you could fill a billion universes with golf balls and put a small red dot on the bottom of one ball and somehow a blindfolded baby could find that ball while rummaging through the hundred billion galaxies on the very first try.” (Joe White with Nicholas Comninellis, Darwin’s Demise: Why Evolution Can’t Take The Heat, 35, 38-39 (Kindle Edition); Green Forest, AR; Master Books)
Again:
“The DNA molecule in your body (the Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is the most complex molecule in the universe. The average person in this room has 50 trillion cells in their body. Each of those cells contains 46 chromosomes—except for the gammates, they’ve got 23. If you took all of the chromosomes out of your body, you would end up with about two tablespoons of chromosomes. That’s it. Extracting all of them from every cell in your body would give you about two tablespoons. But if you stretch them out, each one six or seven feet long (they are wound up like a tight little spring) if you stretched them out and tied them all together, one persons chromosomes would reach from the earth to the moon and back five million round trips. Coming out of one person’s chromosomes. Pretty amazing don’t you think?! How Complex is DNA? And if you typed out this computer code you would find you’ve got enough code in your DNA, and it is more complex and contains more information than all of the computer programs ever written by man combined! Pretty amazing! And this unbelievably complex DNA code if you typed it all out, when you got done typing you would have enough books to fill Grand Canyon forty times. Anybody work with computers at all? Who works with computers around here? Anybody? Alright. I want to see you get forty Grand Canyons full of books. More than ever has been written or printed or copied in the history of the world and I want you to condense it to software. You can use CD ROM, PK Zip, or SyQuest. I don’t care what you use, but when you are done it must fit into two tablespoons. My Heavenly Father did it!” (Tobin Crenshaw, Kent Hovind and the Creation Evolution Debate Seminar: The One Book You Need To Make Sense Of It All, 3223-3225 (Kindle Edition): Creation Science Evangelism)
Pray for those who have been blinded by the god of this world, and don’t give up trying to reach those who have rejected God and His Word in nature and Scripture. Plant and water the seed! Each person controls the soil condition of their own heart (Jeremiah 4:3), but God gives the increase.
Lord, have mercy on those who ignore You. Please open their eyes. Amen.
